If you get an "invalid op code error," please try to reinstall Hotspot Shield as outlined below.

  2. Open Revo Uninstaller and search "Hotspot Shield".
  3. Right-click on Hotspot Shield and choose Uninstall. Then select Yes in the confirmation dialog box.
  4. Select Advanced uninstall mode and click Next.
  5. If Hotspot Shield Uninstaller pops up, follow the onscreen instructions and let it uninstall what it can. If the Hotspot Shield Uninstaller doesn't pop up and you see an error, click OK and go to the next step.
  6. Click Next and then click Next again.
  7. Select the hshld and HssWd registry items and click Delete. Select Yes in the confirmation dialog box, and then click Next.
  8. Revo will find files and folders associated with Hotspot Shield. Click Select All. Double check that all files and folders are associated with Hotspot Shield, and deselect any that aren't. Then click Delete Next.
  9. Click Finish. Hotspot shield is now completely removed from your computer.
Re-install Hotspot Shield in Safe Mode. Before you re-install Hotspot Shield, restart your computer in Safe Mode. Once you have booted into Safe Mode, install Hotspot Shield like normal.
