HSS Android Error Codes Solutions

Sometimes, you may run into an error while using Hotspot Shield for Android. The following is a list of different error messages that you may encounter and the steps you can try in order to solve them. 
If after trying the suggested solutions, the problem continue to occur, please submit a help desk ticket with the error code and your account information.
  • Error Code 7
    Description:  Remote hung up
    Suggested solution: 
    This error means that the Hotspot Shield servers are currently unavailable from your area. Please try again in a few moments. If the problem persists after a few hours, please go ahead and submit a ticket with your details and this error number to support@hsselite.com.
     
  • Error Code 48
    Description:  Remote hung up
    Suggested solution: 
    This error means that the Hotspot Shield servers are currently unavailable from your area. Please try again in a few moments. If the problem persists after a few hours, please go ahead and submit a ticket with your details and this error number to support@hsselite.com.
     
  • Error Code 103
    Description: Connection lost.
    Suggested solution: 
    These seem to be a network problem. Please try reconnecting to your current WiFi or connect with another WiFi network.
     
  • Error code 1007
    Description: No network connection. No network. 
    Suggested solution: 
    You’re not connected to any network. Please connect to a WiFi network to enable network connection.
     
  • Error code 1008 
    Description: Network is unreachable. Network is present but there is no access to the Internet
    Suggested solution: 
    These seem to be a network problem. Please try reconnecting to your current WiFi or connect with another WiFi network.
     
  • Error code 1012
    Description: Keep alive error. Network problem.  
    Suggested solution: 
    Try to re-connect again to your data network. You can also try connecting to another WiFi network to solve this issue.
     
  • Error code 1013
    Description: Can't connect to Hotspot Shield servers. HSS is blocked or servers not available
    Suggested solution: 
    Try to connect after a while. If the problem persists, please go into your Android Settings --> Manage Apps --> Hotspot Shield entry, and “Clear data.” Then try to connect again.
     
  • Error code 1017
    Description: Failed to prepare VPN. OpenVPN problem 
    Suggested solution: 
    If you were able to connect before, please go into your Android Settings --> Manage Apps --> Hotspot Shield entry, and “Clear data.” Otherwise, please contact support@hsselite.comwith your device name and info along with this error number and details.
     
  • Error code 1019
    Description: There is no network connection. 
    Suggested solution: 
    Please enable network connection or try connecting to another WiFi.
     
  • Error Code 1016
    Description: Servers unavailable/blocked. 
    Suggested solution:
    Hotspot Shield servers are currently unavailable in your area. Please go into your Android Settings --> Manage Apps --> Hotspot Shield entry, and “Clear data.” If that doesn’t work, please try connecting to another WiFi or data network.
     
  • Error Code 1023
    Description:  Failed to establish connection (connection timeout).
    Suggested solution: 
    Wait and try to connect later. If the problem persists, please go into your Android Settings --> Manage Apps --> Hotspot Shield entry, and “Clear data.” If that doesn’t work, please try connecting to another WiFi or data network.
     
  • Error Code 1024
    Description:  Failed to establish connection (connection timeout).Suggested solution: 
    Wait and try to connect later. If you continue receiving the error, please go into your Android Settings --> Manage Apps --> Hotspot Shield entry, and “Clear data.” If that doesn’t work, please try connecting to another WiFi or data network.
     
  • Error Code 1028
    Description:  OpenVPN’s internal manager failed to create instance or interface.
    Suggested solution: 
    Please upgrade to the latest version of Hotspot Shield. If the problem persists, please contact support and share the exact error message you’re seeing.
